This is my friend Kim's House, she is an artist and I had to get photos of the lovely way she arranged these frames in her bathroom. Handmade Sun Kitsch Kawaii Cute Covered Lampshades :)
Hi I've been neglecting my blog way too much so I thought I would share these lampshades I covered the blue one isn't finished yet though I am still waiting for the perfect trimming and not found one I love yet. This was a really fun project. I just love all the different fabrics together. The Tale of the Blue Inspiration Sprites- Bubble Necklaces Dome Necklace Vial Necklace
Inspiring Blue Sprites are all around the place in little nooks and crannies of floor boards, hiding in plants and behind little stones. They have very squeeky voices and they shout out inspiring words to make you feel better and remember what to do. I got them to write all the inspiring words they knew so you could be reminded of these words... Inside the sphere written in blue are the inspiring words "believe, create, strength, courage, love, laugh, live, dream, hope, patience, eternity, unity, peace, inspire and faith" Also includes a teeny blue sprite with 4 different glitter blends in blue shades with stars, sequins, chars, hearts and tiny blue balls. Unique and stunning and fun to play with too when you shake it to find all the words. This would be good to give someone who you want to cheer up who's going through a bit of a blue period (you see why I made it blue now). Each has a 24inch Silver and Coloured Petite 1.5mm Ball Chain.. I considered collecting them to sell as a gourmet delicacy here on Earth, but luckily my conscience got the better of me and I realised that would just be pure evil. I like to do these from time to time. I love a bit of charity shopping too you always get the best bargains in charity shops I've never understood people who think it's dirty or disgusting to buy second hand stuff. I believe it's called thrift shopping in the U.S.A. I have found some of my most cherished possessions and clothes from boot sales and charity shops, plus you are helping people at the same time it's win win. This is an auction for Diabetes UK. I met a woman who came into my old work and they are desperately looking for people to volunteer for them. Also my granddad had this, and some friends and family too. 3D Printed Hermit Crab Houses
"Aki Inomata used CT scanning to capture highly-detailed, 3-dimentional rendering of an unoccupied seashell. Using a 3D printer, she then created several prototypes of miniaturized Parisian apartments and Tokyo-type dwellings. These she gave to her hermit crabs to try out. Her crabs showed their approval for her architecture by promptly moving into their new homes after molting. Mind you, hermit crabs are not fickle when it comes to shelter. I’ve seen one living in a used cola can. If it’s sturdy and big enough, it’ll do. These days, her crustaceans are wearing the skylines of entire cities on their backs.
