Xiaomi seeing ‘very strong’ rebound post lockdown: Manu Jain
Even as the pandemic has disrupted and delayed the handset maker’s offline plans, Manu Jain, India managing director at market leader Xiaomi, said that the channel will contribute 50% of overall sales by the end of this year.

Mi Stores contribute 15% to India business: Xiaomi
Xiaomi, which entered India in 2014 and sold smartphones exclusively online, had ventured into offline retail in 2017. Apart from Mi Stores, Xiaomi also operates its own chain of more than 75 Mi Homes, 45-plus Mi Studios and over 8,000 Mi Preferred Partners (through franchise model).

According to smartphone trackers, sales this month have been close to 12 million as against 15.5 million last year. If this trend holds, then 2020 estimates would have to be lowered further from the already scaled down forecast of 130-134 million units.
